July 21, 2012 Cat And Around Hosts: Mike & MJ (Update #1 - Nov 21, 2011) CAT AND AROUND Saturday, July 21, 2012 Mark your calendars for this one-day, not-all-day drive to Wildcat Mountain State Park Starting in Reedsburg near mid-day, we’ll twist and turn our way west into the driftless area of Wisconsin called Wildcat Mountain. We’ll “run the Wildcat” a couple times, then head back to Reedsburg. You can consider this just a small warm-up if you plan to make the trip to Deals’ Gap the following week! If you’ve never been to this area of Vernon County, prepare to be amazed. This section of Hwy 33 has 50 curves in 3 miles as it winds its way up and down the mountain, including a set of 180 degree switchbacks. Plans are still up-in-the-air. We may have lunch before we take off in Reedsburg, or we may have dinner there after the drive - but not both. Or we may decide to make this a non-eat-and-drive event. We’ve got a route planned, but not much else yet. More info will be coming in the spring. We won’t be taking RSVPs until after March. But never fear - this is an unlimited attendance drive - the more the merrier. And don’t forget the dramamine! So save the date - Saturday, July 21, 2012.
