SE-WI Tour #1
Hosts: Don & Linda

(Update #1 - Nov 28, 2011)

This will be the first of three tours (one each year) to explore beautiful SE WI. This drive will reveal what BMC’ers have been missing for many years; you must put this drive on your bucket list. We will meet in Ives Groove (near I-94 & Hy 20) about 9:30am or so, giving northern and western BMC’ers time to arrive. The morning ride will be 1:33:52 hours long not including stops. We will pass through open farmland, woods, and apple orchards. Sandhill cranes are in the area so watch for them (a prize will be given to the first car that spots one, but you must have a witness car). We will stop for lunch near Ives Groove.

The morning drive will be a warm up for the afternoon ride, which will be 3:59:11 hours long not including stops. We will travel on many rustic roads that will give Miata exhilarations to all (a prize will be given for the correct number of the rustic road, and its length to the nearest 0.1 mile). Rustic Roads were first created in 1973 by the Wisconsin legislature for their uniqueness. There are currently 85 Rustic Roads in the state, with 27 located in the SE Region (hurray). We will travel only on the paved Rustic Roads. After a full day of driving we will gather at nice restaurant & bar for dinner to celebrate our adventure (the restaurant will be near I-94).

Please contact Don McCann at: miata03don@sbcglobal.net if you are interested in this adventure. More information will be provided in Update #2. Cheers!!!!
