TOPLESS IN THE LATE AUTUMN

Terry and Betty Lucas planned a great tour for the Badgerland Club on Saturday, October 20th. They told us to "Enjoy the Ride"....and....we did! We met at the corner of Hwy 12 and Co H. The La Grange General Store/Bike Shop offered a little bit of everything. It was a good place to look around, visit and grab a snack or lunch. Personally, I can tell you that the soup was very good.

Terry led us up, down and around the beautiful Kettle Moraine State Forest area. Although many of the leaves had already fallen from the trees, the various shades of brown in the oak leaves and the gold/yellow of the sugar maples were still something to ooooh and aaaahhhh about. We drove many Rustic Roads, Lapham Peak and Pike Lake State Parks and viewed different angles of Holy Hill. Betty planned a stop at LeDuc's Frozen Custard Shop in Wales....mmmm....so many choices. After eating cold custard, the sun went behind the clouds but being the "tough" northern club we are, we just zipped the jackets up but left the tops down. I did turn the car heater up a little more too.

We ended our ride at the Mineshaft Restaurant in Hartford. Good food, good visiting, good times.....Thanks for the FUN!
