Looking for something a little different to do this March? Ron & Lin Carlson, Mary Lynn, and I are going to advance our troops down south for a little history tour. Although we had to go a little ahead in time, (we moved the date to Sunday the 3rd March), the plan is to muster in Kenosha and go back in time to examine our Wisconsin and Midwest history during the Civil War era. Maybe you'll set your sights on local history, or it might be national, or it might even be family history, but I guarantee you'll reconnoiter about the Civil War and the Midwest. We're forging ahead to the Civil War Museum in the Kenosha Public Museum Complex for a 2 hour private guided tour, some self-guided exploration and dinner at The Ashling on the Lough, an Irish restaurant. Entrance to the Kenosha Museum is Afterwards those that would like can march up the street to The Ashling on the Lough for a pint and a bite of dinner.
