Holiday Mazda Drive

The day will begin with a lunch at Holiday Motors, 321 N Rolling Meadows Drive in Fond du Lac. The RX Club of Wisconsin will be joining the Badgerland Miata Club for this event. Preliminary plan for the ride is a "Nuclear Tour" along Lake Michigan to as far north as the Kewaunee nuclear power plant that is scheduled for shutdown in the near future. The ride will then travel scenic roads back to Blanck's Supper Club in Johnsberg.

We can start gathering at Holiday Mazda, 321 N. Rolling Meadows Dr. Fond du Lac at 10:00AM.

Lunch will be provided by Holiday Mazda at about 11:30AM.

The Nuclear Plant Drive will begin at 1:00PM. The drive plan is to travel to Manitowoc from Fond du Lac up the lake shore to visit the Point Beach Nuclear Plant then up the road to Kewaunee NS and the surrounding countryside along the way, then down to Blanck's Supper Club in Johnsburg for dinner. The route will be a scripted turn-by-turn tour, following the provided direction sheet & generally the leader/car ahead of you, north to Manitowoc with a refreshment stop at Culvers, east thru downtown up the Lake to Two Rivers, thru downtown north to/by the Point Beach State Forest, then on to the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, north to the Kewanee Nuclear Power Station, then head back south via scenic back roads to Blanck's for dinner.

Dinner will be at Blanck's Supper Club, Johnsburg (W2655 County Rd. 'Q') in Fond du Lac County at about 5:30PM. Pay individually or as couples off their 'special menu' with three selection choices: We can choose a Blanck's Special Steak, two piece sirloin (15-16 oz.) - $18.99; or abundant fried Shrimp - $17.99, or lastly Chicken, two pieces - $8.99. They have a full bar!
