BMC Picnic & Membership Meeting

Hosts: Don & Linda McCann

Update #1 (Dec 10, 2013)

Please join your fellow BMC members for a fun filled day at Tendick Nature County Park located at 3919 County Hwy O (Ozaukee County), which is 3 miles north of Hwy 33 (near Saukville). The GPS coordinates for the main entrance are N43.42076, W087.95435 (do not go in the archery entrance south of the main entrance). We have changed the majority of the original Update #1, due to a new situation at the park, and we have changed the start time to allow members at a greater distance to attend the picnic.

Update #2 (June 28, 2013) - please note changes from update #1

Please join your fellow BMC members for a fun filled day at Tendick Nature County Park located at 3919 County Hwy O (Ozaukee County), which is 3 miles north of Hwy 33 (near Saukville). The GPS coordinates for the main entrance are N43.42076, W087.95435 (do not go in the archery entrance south of the main entrance).

Plan to arrive about 11 am, and lunch will be served about 12 Noon. Brats, hamburgers and chips are on the menu and will be furnished by the club, along with soft drinks and water. As is the custom, you are asked to bring a dish to pass. There are electrical outlets available and we will have coolers and ice to keep your food cold. You may bring your own beverage of choice, but the park has a NO GLASS container rule.

The park features walking trails that meander through grassland, woods and wetlands. It also has an 18-hole disk golf course with a $5 fee per person to play.

It's possible that not many members will opt to play on the course, so we extended the afternoon drive for those who wish to come along on a two hour tour around scenic Ozaukee, Fond du Lac, and Sheboygan Counties, starting about 1:30 pm or so.

The Ozaukee County Historical Pioneer Village is also an interesting place to visit for those not going on the drive. It is located nearby. The Village is a collection of 20 historic buildings dating from the 1840s to early 1900s. The site is owned and operated by the County Historical Society. Entrance fees are $4 for seniors and $8 for adults.

Registration: If you are interested in attending this gala event, please contact Don McCann at: miata03don@sbcglobal.net and let us know how many will attend.

Cheers!
