Road America Event
Additional Information

Posted July 7, 2014:

MOCO confirmed that there would be no additional cost for the parade laps. They are still working out the details of the weekend schedule, and will send it to me as soon as they have it. (i.e. They don’t know yet what day the parade laps will take place but it looks like we may get some track time.) Saturday the Mazda powered prototype lite and the MX-5 cup race will be taking place, along with qualifying for all other classes.

I am going to the track on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Let me know what day or days you will be attending. That way we can plan on going up as a group. For those of you who met me last year we will be playing on the same roads on the way from Milwaukee to the track.

Attached is a little map of the North end of the track. Turns 12, 13, and 14. We are just east of Turn 13 and just west of 14. Turns 13 and 14 are both in full view, as well as the ability to see across to Turn 5, everybody’s favorite corner. The JumboTron screen is also in full view from where we are at this location, which will offer the broadcast of the race. Road America does not yet know which gate they want us to use for entering and exiting the track, but they did state, they don’t want us using the main gate, even though its right behind our corral. They say it is just too busy right there. Again, I will update everybody as soon as I have more info. The corral appears to be away from the track a bit on the photo, but the photo is deceiving. You can still see the track and what is going on quite well from the corral, and the viewing area next to the track is above track level, allowing a good view of the cars as they race by.
