Fall Colors Tour

Hosts: Jim & Toni Thomas
Craig & Mary Hodne

Update #1 (November 15, 2013)

The bustle of tourists and Summer vacationers gives way to Autumn in Wisconsin's north woods. The forests become a blaze of colors, before dropping their leaves to blanket the forest floor. Be There! The Fall Colors Tour will begin in Merrill, WI, and tour the roads of Lincoln and Oneida counties.

Update #3 (September 4, 2014)

In deference to our members from the southern part of the state, we are planning to start the ride at 11:00AM. Drivers' meeting will be 10:45. We will assemble in the parking area of the new Mobil station, located off Highway 64, just west of the Highway 51 exit 208 (Merrill). There are several places to have a lunch in that area, should you need to eat first.

The ride will follow the Wisconsin River up to Tomahawk, and meander the roads among the northern lakes as far north as Lake Tomahawk, before heading south. The plan is to end the ride at Ballyhoos Bar & Restaurant, in Merrill, around 4:00 for a dinner. This should permit those that wish to return home some daylight for driving. If you prefer to stay in the area, check out the Merrill Chamber of Commerce or Tomahawk Area for lodging.

Route instructions will be e-mailed to registered participants prior to the drive.

Check this event announcement for future updates.
