Badger Burrow Road Rally

Audra Woerner

Update #2 (March 19, 2015)

Are you sick of winter? So Am I! It’s time to start thinking about Miata weather. And what better way than to try a Spring Rally!

The Badger Burrow Rally is one of four* exciting RoadRally events that are being organized by the Milwaukee Region of the Sports Car Club of America in 2015! One of our very own BMC Club Members, Audra Woerner, has participated in a few Road Rally events in the past couple of years and will be participating in these events again this year. She would love to have other BMC Club Members participate with her, and she has volunteered to be the ‘host’ at the event for any of the BMC Club Members that join in on the Rally Fun!

*See this article for a list of the 4 Road Rally events plus more specific information about what a Road Rally event is.

Badger Burrow Rally Details

The Badger Burrow Rally will be held on Saturday, May 2. Arrival and socializing at Dunn’s Imports, 6516 University Avenue, Middleton, WI starting at 9:00am. First car leaves Dunn’s in Middleton at 11:00am. First car is due at the finish around 6:45pm where the group will gather for more camaraderie. This event is a brisk tour of the twisty, hilly roads of the drift-less area west of Madison. The rally starts at Dunn’s Imports in Middleton and ends at Coach’s Club in Cross Plains. Along the way, you will find the twisty roads up and over the hills that the area is famous for. The event uses the same formula as in past years with long transits where you can drive at your own pace, followed by short ‘stages’ where you need to maintain an average speed. Lots of breaks means time for socializing along the route. The roads are mostly paved, but there are a few miles of well maintained, unpaved roads. Everything is Miatable, so expect some curvy corners!
