Update #2 (February 24, 2016)

We made a couple of last minute changes on our Harley-Davidson tour – mainly, to NOT do the Honey-Do list we promised you’d get to in the afternoon. I know I had told you would have time to do something on the Misses list after lunch, but we decided why stop with one Milwaukee original, let’s do two.

So we added a brewery tour – of a sort, to the afternoon portion of the event, just after lunch. It’s the Pabst tour and if you’ve haven’t done one since the brewery closed; you really should join us for this one. This isn’t your father’s brewery tour. It’s a walk through the history and splendor that was Milwaukee brewing in its hay day. Offered at the Best Place by local historian Jim Haertell, we’ll try some beer and munch on some pretzels, while we learn about and tour a portion of the Pabst Brewery complex most tours never viewed years ago.

And now for the particulars:

Saturday March 19th

• 10:30 – Meet in the lobby of the Harley-Davidson Museum 400 W. Canal St. Milwaukee $20.00 admission [$14.00 – for seniors]
  Tour the museum on your own until our lunch break at 12:45


• 12:45 – Cross the street to the MOTOR Restaurant for a tasty lunch.
  We’ll eat off the main menu with separate checks [Gratuity not included].


• 1:45 – Head from the H-D Museum, up 6th Street, North to Juneau Ave to:
  The Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery
  901 W Juneau Ave. $8.00 admission [includes a pint of your choice w/tour]


• 2:00 – Take the secret tour at the Best Place (last one of the day that they don’t publish).
  (You can save 50% off admission if you bother to get a Groupon ahead of time.)


• 3:15ish – Tour the gift shop, stay for a pint, or be on your way back to that Honey-Do list!
