Red Lewis Community Car Show

This will be the "Second Annual BMC" car show event hosted by the North Chapter. Building on last year's success and responding to feedback we have added ride and dinner options. We have put tog ether the tentative schedule below.

Kudos to Mike Jelen for organizing the "First Annual" last year. This year it will be hosted by Dan and Renee Dallich and Brian and Grace Anderson. Feel free to email Dan with any questions or suggestions, ongreenbay @ gmail.com (remove spaces).

The show on Saturday will be at the Automobile Gallery in Green Bay. This year they have renamed the show The Red Lewis Community Car Show. Red Lewis is the founder of this unique auto museum which was created to house an incredible collection of restored vehicles as well as special guest autos.

To be in the show your Miata does not have to be a "show" car, just clean and shined up. Last year BMC had twelve Miatas representing every era lined up together. We enjoyed seeing all of the cars and meeting fellow club members. You can certainly come and not enter your car in the show, but please consider entering. We will email a link to register for the show with further instructions to those interested. We have 20 spots reserved for the club.

This year we are adding a ride after the show, with no limit on number, and a Sunday ride up to the tip of Door County and back that we will limit to ten this first year.

For out-of-towners, and locals who want to hang out, we have reserved discounted rooms at St Brendan’s downtown (4 rooms for Fri only, and 4 rooms for Fri and Sat - $109 per night) and The Painted Pelican located a bit north on the Bay (7 rooms for Fri and Sat - $135 per night). St Brendan’s is only a block from the show and has a great Irish pub downstairs. The Painted Pelican is 20 min away and offers more of a vacation vibe with a restaurant and bar. If you do join for the weekend you will not leave hungry. Friday afternoon there will be snacks at the Dallich’s followed by a Fish Fry at Highland Howies. Saturday lunch will be at Fox Harbor near the show and dinner at St Brendan’s. There will be a stop on the Sunday Door County ride at Blue Bear in Ellison Bay for brunch with the ride ending at Frosty Tip in Dyckesville.

Friday 6/13 Social and Fish Fry OPTION
    4-6 PM : Meet and Greet at Dallich’s residence
    6:30 PM : Dinner (Perch and other Friday Fish options) at Highland Howie’s

Saturday 6/14 CAR SHOW
    8 AM : Cars registered for show assemble in designated area
    12 PM : Group lunch break at Fox Harbor Pub
    2-4:30 PM Group Ride along Fox River to Coffee and Cream in Wrightstown and back (cue sheet here)
    (Those coming only for the show may choose to head home from Wrightstown)
    6 PM Social Hour at St Brendan’s downtown Green Bay, dinner at 7PM

Sunday 6/15 Door County Ride OPTION
    8 AM : Meet for coffee at Painted Pelican, Dyckesville WI
    8:30-11 AM : Head up west shore with 1 stop (cue sheet here)
    11 AM : Brunch at Blue Bear in Ephriam WI
    12-3:30 PM : Continue up to Northport and Curvy Highway 42 then down east shore
    3:30 PM Final stop at Frosty Tip in Dykesville
